Who's in the Dawghouse?

UPDATE. My stolen Honda car has been found. On the outside it looked ok but the engine and transmission are trashed. Everything not glued down, was stolen.

I'm a stay at home Grandma helping my wonderful daughter, Dana, raise her children. I also rescue animals. Our latest dog rescues have been placed in wonderful new homes. The greyhound with us for about 2 months but it was worth the wait until really great new owners could be found for her.

My grandaughters, Autumn age 9 and Alyza age 15, help socialize them with young children and a variety of other animals. Autumn could dog and cat speak before she could people speak. Her efforts to train the cats should have been filmed. She even taught them to sit for treats in a few short sessions. No one will tell her not to train cats like she trains the dogs. She has even taught one cat to fetch!

The past Fourth of July holidays were horrible in my neighborhood. Dogs escaped from their yards and were running loose in fear. Many were killed on the streets. We chased many and only caught three. We were happy to find current tags on them and got them back to their owners. Mine were kept safe in the house every evening for the days before and after the 4th of July.

Halloween is coming up. Keep your animals safe!
