Thank you for visiting my all about me-web page. I am happy to tell you a little bit more about my life, and what brought me to eBay. I have been a member of eBay since Jan 02, and have purchased many items for my home and life. I am happy to say that I have never experienced a problems with any product that I have purchase from any seller in the eBay community. As members of the eBay community, our goal is customer satisifaction. We work hard to make sure our buyers are happy with the items they have purchased.
While have been selling on Ebay-our passion to sell comes from a very special reason. Our family has a child who is the most wonderful little one and the light of our life. Our child has been diagnosis with a developmental disorder called Sensory Integration Disorder. Our main reason for selling things is to pay for need therapy to help our child.
Because our sons life has been affected by Sensory Integration-we want to educate as many people about this disorder. Please read to learn a little bit more about this developmental disorder, and what drives our passion for selling on Ebay.
Sensory Integration is the normal neurological process of organizing sensations from our life. We all use our sense to survive, to learn, and to function smoothly. Typical our brain process information from our bodies and surrounding, interprets these messages, and plan a purposeful response. Dysfunction in sensory intergration occurs when the brain inefficient process sensory message coming from a person's own body. The person can't response in an adaptive way to everyday sensations that other's hardly notice.
Sensory Integration Disorder (SDI) plays out differently from person to person-sometime severe, sometime mild. Inconsistency is one of its hallmark. SDI is estimate to occur between 6-10% of the population
SDI is a complex neurological problem. It may affect children's development, behavior, learning, communication skills, friendship, and play. It may affect either one or all of the sense and impede skills needed to function effectively through out the day.
When SDI get in a child's way, sensory integration-based occupational therapy is highly recommended. Under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist the child therapy involves engaging in movement and touch. To help learn to organize sensory information in a playful, meaningful and natural way. The goal of therapy is to provide sensory-motor experience so young children learn to function in daily life.
While we know that people will not agree with our sharing this information. If you life hasn't been touched by a special needs child-please consider yourself fortunate. We thank you for taking the time to learn more about Sensory Integration Disorder and God Bless you! Please know one thing-We LOVE our child with our whole heart and souls. We would do anything under the sun, moon and stars to help him! Thank you Ebay for allowing us that opportunity! Sharing this information with the Ebay community is one way to increase awareness of this developmental disorder. Thank you for visiting my about me page, and we warmly wish you the very best! Happy bidding on all your auction, and may all your purchases be Ebay ones!
