Aubry's Originals came from the mind of a doll/Fantasy Art enthusiast brought up on a healthy diet of Aubrey Beardsley and Jane Austen (yes, even when I occasionally spell her last name as Austin).
All through primary school I loved art, and dabbled in many mediums finally finding my niche with pen and ink drawings. The inspiration for my early art was based on costume and clothing design, and then branched out into fantasy art, and finally into gothic art as well. I like dark art and the fuzzy stuff as well.
Some early early works. :)
In the past I have only worked in black and white on a large scale. So when I added color to my artwork I decided doing small works was less daunting.
Lately I have been working on painting with acrylic and here is my first large painting it is 2x2 feet square. I find that I really like painting bigger and more are in progress.
The Evils
Well they are growing up fast. They are in the Cattin stage, in which they have all the size and jumping capabilities of a cat but the 24 hour craziness of a kitten.
They are always so happy to assist me in my painting. Whether it be eating my brushes off to nubs, or walking through wet paint (then running through the house as I chase them), to curling up on my feet while I paint, they are a large part of the reason I get up in the morning.
