George Falcon, President, Computer Mercenaries.
Since opening my account on eBay 7 June 02 I've received 165 feedback items, 161 of them positive. This is a positive feedback rating of 97.6% over more than 7 years.
I'm a Vietnam-era veteran of the United States Air Force, and a 22 year veteran of enterprise network engineering and software configuration management. eBay is where I sell the computer hardware, software, and books that I've had to buy to stay abreast of current technology. I recover some of these costs through sales of my personal computer-related items, and items that some of my corporate clients permit me to take with me if they're surplus to their needs. These computer computer hardware and software items are often perfect for those home or small business users on a budget.
Please note that I do not offer items to bidders and buyers outside the United States. This is due to the paperwork and value added taxes required for overseas sales, and the heavy transportation charges imposed on us by USPS and UPS.
Recreation
I enjoy competing in endurance rallies on my BMW touring motorcycle, listening to live music, cooking (including making good espresso and chili), and playing with computers. I learned how to ride motorcycles in 1975 and have owned six since then... a new 1976 Kawasaki KH250 street bike, a new 1978 Harley-Davidson 75th Anniversary Sportster, a used 1976 BMW R75/6, a new 2000 BMW K1200LT-C in Pacific Blue, a used 2000 BMW K1200LT-C in Canyon Red, and my current bike, a 2005 BMW K1200LT-C in gold I bought as a demonstrator model with 1600 miles on the odometer in 2005. This was totalled in March 2009 by a 19 year old, but I hope to get the bike repaired. I've participated in the Ride For Kids for a number of years, helped organize "America's 911 Ride" in 2001 and 2002, and completed my Iron Butt Association "Saddlesore 1000" ride in the Spring of 2006, though I've yet to send in my documentation. I've twice participated in the Mason Dixon 20-20 endurance rally (which benefits the Johns Hopkins Children' Center) and twice finished the Cape Fear 1000 endurance rally. I took an extended motorcycling vacation from 29 September to 21 October, touring 37 states in three weeks to complete my 2008 tour of all 48 contiguous states, and cap off my 26,000 mile year.
I've ridden over 125,000 miles on BMW motorcycles since buying my first in 1988. I'm a member of our local BMW motorcycle club, the BMW Bikers of Metropolitan Washington, the BMW Riders Association, the American Motorcyclist Association, and I've been a member of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America since 1988.
