This is Miss Minnie Mouse ~ 1988 - 2005. She is sorely missed every day, and my art work is dedicated to her.
Because writing novels helped put food on the table and shoes on our kids while they were growing up, my first love, art, always seemed to take a back seat, though I did manage to squeeze in a few commissions. Most were murals, which found me up on ladders. NOT fun when you have Acrophobia!
Now that the kids are grown with families of their own, my focus has returned to art. I enjoy dabbling in oils, but because I am not a patient person, acrylics make me smile because they dry so fast! Whimsy also makes me smile, especially if it's related to animals. I've had so many over the years - dogs and cats - and of course, Miss Minnie Mouse. Now there are only two cats ~ Opie and Tiger, brothers who were saved from a busy hotel parking lot when they were baby kittens. They are truly loved, and the reason I paint every day.
Within my listings, you will find a lot of treasures other than art. Some handcrafted by me, other items collected at estate sales over the years, and most recently, items collected by my son. I had thought about setting my art apart by opening a second store, but finally decided against it. I've been known in the eBay community (and eBay art community) as georgl95741 for almost 9 years, and so my one store shall stand as is, and blanket everything I sell.
If you are interested in purchasing my art in other forms, such as on mugs, T shirts, posters and pretty little wooden boxes, please go to www.artwanted.com/georgette to see my on line art gallery and the items you can choose from. I also have on line art galleries at EBSQ and the Saatchi Gallery in London. Google my name, Georgette Livingston, to see what I'm all about, as well as clicking on 'My World' at the bottom of this oage.
