My name is Donna. I am a SAHM (Stay-At-Home Mom). I am married to a wonderful man and my best friend for  13 years. We have three beautiful children, a son – 10, a daughter - 8 and a daughter - 19.

Why did we choose GiantLilyPad as our ebay name?  After the birth of my youngest in February of 2001, we decided I would stay at home with the kids.  In spring of that same year my husband found himself unemployed and starting over in a new state!  When family and friends asked what we were going to do next. My husband responded, jump to the next lily pad and float. I laughed, being married to a big guy (with a sense of humor), I said he would have to find a giant lily pad.

When I began researching to sell on ebay I read about these Giant lily pads on the Amazon in South America.  These Giant Water Lilies grew 4' - 6' in diameter. It seemed the perfect fit for my start on ebay in August 2002.

Like many, the changes in the economy have hit us hard. I work hard through eBay, Etsy & any other resources I can find to help make ends meet.
