Hi there! My name is Ginger & I appreciate your interest in my auctions and ME!
I've lived in the beautiful Ocean View section of Norfolk, Virginia for about 30 years, 2 blocks from the beach on the southern shore of the Chesapeake Bay. My life has been influenced, inspired, refreshed and rejuvinated by the serene beauty Mother Nature has provided for my own personal refuge. My home is shared with my sweet, funny and artistic British-born hubby and a big ole' yellow Lab who is totally dominated by our 2 kittys. I'm the proud grandma of a beautiful red headed 4 year old grandson who is the joy of my life and his delightful new little brother! I'm a sales rep for a lawn & garden distributor after 30 years working "me bum off" in the horticulture industry. I've been a grower, retailer, designer, buyer, speaker and writer specializing in flowering plants to include annuals, perennials and tropicals.
Any clothing I offer is from my own personal closet(s) or brand new items I have run across while shopping for myself. I do not go out scouring the streets & stores for items to sell...I have enough! Rest assured I only list items I would be happy to receive...if there are any flaws, I disclose them and I take lots of pictures. I've been a serious Eileen Fisher collector for 5 years and have many pieces that are new, next-to-new or gently used and a few samples as well...I adore Sample pieces! Some are from last season, some current season, some will come out next season and some never made it to production either in color or design, making them quite unique. I buy a bunch, knowing some will not work for me so if you wear a size small or medium you may want to watch my auctions.
Several years ago I was presented with the daunting task of clearing out my mothers house so it could be sold and discovered the amazing amount of "stuff" one accumulates over a lifetime. It was a challenging and often sad job, sorting thru my parents life, and I promised myself I would not make my own daughter go thru it so I have begun to sort thru my good stuff...one drawer, one closet, one box at a time...if it hasn't been used in the last year, it's outta here. Downsizing is not easy! I make 4 piles....one to keep, one to trash, one to take to the church thrift shop and one to sell on ebay! I have met many wonderful people thru ebay and even made a couple sooper dooper new ether-friends! I've bought alot more than I'll ever sell and know well the anticipation and joy of receiving a newly purchased item! If you are unhappy with anything you receive from me please let me know!
