Gina-Tina

To every piece of clothing there is a story and when we wear that piece we become part of that story or create our own. 

          The tale can be woven with pieces from the past and the present.  There is the exhilaration of rediscovering the beauty of forgotten pieces, the excitement of mixing them with contemporary fashion.  And with every story I hope to transport you to a place of elegance, grace and confidence.

          This is how Gina-Tina was born.

          I am Gina and I had my daughter Tina in my forties.  She is partly the catalyst behind this venture.

I have always enjoyed the poetry of fashion---using it as the canvas for self-expression.   There is a beautiful quote that mirrors this philosophy:

"Her style was not vanity but a way of living, not simply adorning herself but expressing her vision of beauty."

I have a fine arts degree and have also been a makeup artist for over 20 years, which has allowed me the privilege of assisting women thru gentle transformations.

I have this goal to nurture and comfort women on some level thru my style ideas.  We all have a universal need to be nurtured---more so with women, who primarily nurture society, often times forgetting to give to ourselves --- being so busy giving of ourselves.

Gina-Tina is my attempt to incorporate these passions with the joys of motherhood. 

I am taking small steps and starting in simple ways.   I am learning many lessons venturing into this enterprise.   Most importantly that knowledge is a powerful way of overcoming fear and that there is beauty in learning at any age.  

Looking forward Gina-Tina will later expand and diversify into newer product lines such apparel, accessories and beauty products. 

 I hope that you experience the same joy and pleasure in wearing the ensembles as I did in putting them together. 

Please join me as I grow and flourish over time in this endeavor.  As a final word of encouragement to everyone, and myself I borrow from the gentle wisdom of Winnie the Pooh:
