Helping the Homeless with Donations from a Generous Community

Illinois Valley PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) provides a safe and nurturing environment for the homeless. We provide shelter, meals, showers, laundry and warm beds to individuals and families. Located in Peru, Illinois, we have been operating since 1991...serving five counties. (LaSalle, Marshall, Bureau, Grundy, and Putnam.)
Staffing is provided by over 400 volunteers from the Illinois Valley Area. Since 1991 PADS has served over 2500 individuals, 321 of which were children.
We are three ladies backed by a dedicated army of volunteers who regularly sort through a heavy volume of donations received from our generous community. This store will feature the gems that we find. We are richly blessed and grateful for the opportunity to support our shelter in this way.
