As most of you know from my listing I was diagnoised with Breast Cancer in 2007. I have gone through 3 different types of chemo and am on the 4th which has affected my heart. I am on hormone therapy also which will last 5 years. The mastectomy I had has made me realize that our strength and beauty lies much deaper than just the way we look. My husband is my strength and without him I would not have been able to go through this as well as I have. The beauty in my life is my family and friends that have helped me in so many ways that are too numerous to list.
I love to do Stained Glass in my spare time. I have been setting up my studio to get back into it since I have been out of practice for about 5 years taking care of ill family members. I have been unpacking boxes of items that have been brought to me by family and friends to sell to help cover my medical bills. It has been so much fun to hear some of the stories that go with the some of the items.

If you know anyone that is going through breast cancer or any major illness, please, just be there. Sometimes to hold a hand, somtimes to listen and sometimes to pickup. Just have them tell you stories about their loved ones and see their faces light up. We all at one time or the other will need that helping hand for ourselves. The help you do now will come around 3 fold later on. |
