You've probably heard of me. You've most certainly seen some of the artwork that I've created over the last 33 years as a professional photographer. I've had over 900 magazine layouts, most of it without photo credits. The fine art images have been in at least 45 galleries, to date. I've had my images published in many books, magazines, photography textbooks, and even in some cookbooks! It's been a "wild ride"... every day really IS an adventure. And through it all, I can still say... I love every day that I get to be a photographer. It allows me to come in contact with some of the best people on earth: models, actors, directors, agents, clients, photo collectors, families, couples, businesses, and most of all... YOU! Thank you for taking the time to read about "lil' 'ol me".

Everyone asks, "Where do you find your models?" The answer is complex but simple. I'm in the fashion industry and meet or work with hundreds of men every year. About 99.9% of the models are straight guys.. and I prefer to work with them. They seem to have less of a finicky attitude about posing. In addition to having models sent to me for fashion shoots, I also find guys in my everyday life... on college campuses, at the market, the library, the grocery store... everywhere!
The other question is, "How do you get them to pose nude?". Well, it used to be easier than it is now, with the internet and all. But basically.... I just ask them! Simple as that. In general though, most of the male models don't have any extra money for a standard payment on a portfolio session. We agree to a "trade for prints"... a session where they don't have to pay me, and agree to pose for some fine art shots in exchange. This is the reason that most of the guys are "soft"... they're actually posing as art models... and not as models for the adult industry. Occasionally, I do pay the models directly for a nude session, but most of them actually both want and need fashion shots for their portfolios. Most of the time, when you see my photos of them nude, that's the only time that they ever posed nude... or, in many cases, ever will! My shots are often the only available nude shots of these men!
Technical stuff: I'm currently shooting ALL of my digital images on a Sigma SD10 camera, with a vast array of dedicated lenses. They are shot in RAW format with Foveon Technology, which means that the digital sensor uses 3 layers of sensors, instead of the typical single layer. It gives the images a 9x clarity. So, my 10MP camera actually delivers 90MP images! And they are ASTOUNDING!
Additionally, you should know that I was formally trained as a photographer in college, when I went back to school after getting 2 BA degrees and then a graduate degree, all in other subjects. I also learned most of the major historical processes along the way, such as: platinum/palladium, gum bichromate, cyanotype, Kallitype, Van Dyke, salted paper, photogravure, and many of the contemporary alternative processes. I have a very well balanced education and experience in the world of, and the workings of the photographic craft. I've taught classes both privately as well as in schools. I have been a photo critic for many large professional photo clubs & groups, and do so to this day. I have put on large gallery exhibits as well as been asked to be the judge for many of them. I have a lot of credentials, but if I keep telling you about it, you'd think I was just "grandstanding". (smile)
I hope you'll take the time to really look at the artwork that I create. And, if you like it, please purchase a piece or two for your personal collection. You'll never find it more affordable than you will when you purchase it directly from me, here on my eBay account. Honest! My images sell for many times more when a gallery has them. So, save money and buy them from me!
If you have any other questions about me or about my artwork, I'll do my best to answer you.
And thanks again for taking the time to read my write-up and for looking at my art.
