Guess it is about time I write something on my ME page.  I have been an Ebay member since May, 1999, and for the first few years I just did a lot of buying.  Now that I have moved into a new house, I am finding out just how much stuff I really have!!  So it is time to start selling some of the extra things, mainly to clear out some space, but also to pick up a little money to pay the mortgage (and probably buy more stuff on Ebay!!). 

I have a variety of items I will be auctioning - for now it is mostly DVD's and DVD sets, but I also have lots of fast food toys from McDonalds and Burger King, tons of Ty beanie babies (I couldn't have bought that many - they must be multiplying!!), books, magazines, CD's, computer software and accessories, blank computer media, etc.  Who knows what else I might find packed away in a box somewhere?!  

Well, until I have some more time to make a more creative ME page, I will just give you an idea of how I deal on Ebay - since I sometimes go months without selling anything, I rewrite auction descriptions over and over again and might forget some bit of information.

• Shipping/Handling - I try to keep S&H costs as low as possible - I estimate the actual postage and usually add a very small extra amount (50 cents or so) to cover 'handling' - this only offsets a small part of the cost of packing materials, gas to drive to the post office, time working with the auctions, packing & shipping items, etc., etc., but I think the seller should be responsible for these costs also - I buy on Ebay too and really get tired of people charging $10.00 S&H for something that costs $2.00 to ship, and they claim the extra is for the 'handling'.  So I play fair and keep charges very reasonable, and hope that buyers will appreciate that and bid on my auctions!
• Combined shipping - I like to save money on Ebay and one of the best ways is to buy multiple items from the same seller and have them all shipped together.  I am happy to combine shipping whenever possible - if you win more than 1 of my auctions, I will send an invoice with the shipping total for all items so you can make one easy payment for everything.  I am also willing to wait up to 7 days for you to continue bidding on other auctions you are interested in (actually I will wait even longer if there is something else you want to bid on - just e-mail me and let me know).
• Insurance - It is your option whether or not to pay to insure your package.  I do pack each and every item very carefully, but cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged by the post office or other shipper.  I usually recommend insurance for fragile items and larger orders, but again, it is your decision.
• Payment - Several payment options are available for your convenience.  Paypal is probably the easiest way to pay for auctions, and you will receive your items faster too.  I also accept money orders & cashiers checks if you prefer to mail payment.  I do not accept personal checks - just too much of a hassle having to delay shipment waiting for them to clear.  I appreciate prompt payment, but sometimes you need more time to pay for your auctions - if this is the case, please e-mail me to let me know and keep me posted - 2 weeks is about the most time you should ever need unless there is a family / medical emergency.
• Feedback - Whether buying or selling, I try to make sure every auction goes 100% smooth.  If there is a problem, contact me before leaving non-positive feedback, because I will always do everything I can to make things right - I want everyone who wins my auctions to be satisfied with the transaction.  After you receive your item, please take a moment and post feedback, and I will of course do the same.  (I used to leave feedback right after receiving payment, but so many buyers just didn't bother giving me positive feedback, so I decided to start doing it this way for now - guaranteed I will leave feedback for every auction I receive feedback for).
