My oldest son, Patrick was diagnosed with a rare cancer, DSRCT. Patrick is the 68th young male to have this type of cancer in the United States; only 158 cases have been reported worldwide. May 2006 we were advised that he had a 5% chance of survival. We do not believe in statistics and #'s.  We believe in fighting. It has been 2 years that he began having symptoms, and Patrick has survived the deadly chemo treatments and a 12 hour surgery performed by the only surgeon who specializes in the study of this rare cancer in the U.S. We live in MO, because our son had to drop his classes over an 8 month period he had no insurance coverage. We had to pay for the surgical procedure that was done in New York at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Patrick is in Mo again receiving chemo, and waiting for funds to be raised so we can go to M.D. Anderson in Texas for an adult stem cell transplant. I began making jewelry to raise money for my sons, Patrick's Medical Trust as well as the replenishing of our personal account, we sold our home and used our other children's college money for the surgery. In addition I buy jewelry at wholesale cost to sell at below retail cost to provide funds needed.

I have added addition items, books (we read during long hospital stays and treatments), and shoes and clothing that I purchase at off season sales where ever I am in different states. A new line called "Prayers for Patrick" contains rosary necklaces and bracelets handmade by me and other religious items that have either been donated for my cause or purchased at deep discounts. 

All items for sale are exactly as described. Having worked in the sales environment for the many years, I know just how important it is to provide products at the best quality possible. It is very important that 'YOU', the customer is pleased beyond your expectations each and every time you make a purchase. I promise that you will get what you order, at the best quality, and the lowest price I can offer. I purchase all items that are not made by me at local close outs and other companies liquidating. All artisans designed, hand made items is made with professional stringing and genuine stones. Other non-jewelry products I purchase the same way that I purchase genuine jewelry items. My mark-ups are NEVER more than 20-25%. If I didn't have to pay fees I'd lower it even more. This was not initially in my plans once I began to think about working again, however it has become something I enjoy as well as a must. I plan to continue with this direction as I have found a way to care for my son, create items, and sell other fun items while also enjoying something during this trying time.
