Welcome to my "ME" page. I am originally from Long Island and now live on the Nature Coast of Florida.
As you will see in my designs, I love working with vintage items...photos from the early 1900's, vintage jewelry, buttons and anything old. I love making Art Cards and ACEOs. These are usually small pieces of art in any medium. I make lots of ACEOs which have a standard size of 3.5" x 2.5". I also design other small pieces of art, SFA, or small form art, that can measure to 14".
I love making collages. My collage jewelry is designed by using different types of vintage and sometimes not-so-vintage pieces to form a collage, like old earrings, pins, necklaces, (sometimes broken pieces). The results are unique and a one-of-a-kind piece. An example of this is the frames that I alter. I love collecting old frames, especially the intricately desifned ones with scroll work, and add all kinds of vintage jewelry to them, like lots of rhinestones, old pins, pearls, and parts of old jewelry to give it a real vintage look.
My first published book is "Gift Baskets~Making It Personal!". It is a how-to book for every person and all occasions. My love of collecting old things from flea markets, yard sales, antique shops and thrift stores led me to write this book. Gift baskets do not have to be "baskets." They can be any type of container, the more unusual the better. I give hundreds of ideas in my book about using these unusual containers and "personaizing" them to the person you are designing for. It's a cute book and very interesting. I sell it here for $7.00 plus postage when the book is listed for $11.95 at other places. I also offer a $2.00 10-page booklet on having successful home craft shows. I owned a craft business for 12 years, my annual Christmas Boutique. What I learned and experienced is in this helpful booklet.
