I've been in the antiques business over 20 years and have often been asked about my business name. I live on a small peninsula and I'm surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay. I keep geese as pets. They make great watchdogs. I have a fenced in acre and sometimes they manage to take a walk when a gate is left open. My neighbors have phoned me to say "you have a goose on the loose"...it seemed a great name for my business. In addition to the antiques business, my husband and I share an interest in Victorian architecture. We have been restoring our old Victorian home and attempting to do much of the work ourselves.

I have met so many interesting people and even made some friends who I keep in touch with regularly. In selling items, I always try to be as honest and descriptive as possible. Of course, if you have a question, please don't hesitate to email me. I'll try my best to help. I want happy, repeat customers so I always enclose a note when I ship items inquiring if the item arrived safely and the transaction has been completed to your satisfaction. I find that the buying and selling process works much more smoothly if communication is maintained. That is why I ask that buyers please email me within the 3-day required time to confirm our transaction and make payment arrangements. In my item descriptions, I request that payment be made in a 10 day period. I am flexible with this but I find it helps to set limits. I always email winning bidders the day the auction ends or the next morning at the latest. I also email buyers to let them know when I receive their payments and also the day I ship their item. This takes a little extra time but it certainly helps avoid problems and answers questions. Please check out my auctions. I try to present a varied selection of interesting and unusual items.
REFUND POLICY:
I am proud to say that I have had well over 3,000 satisfied buyers and only a very few requests for refunds. I always strive to be as honest and descriptive as possible in my item descriptions. I encourage bidders to please contact me with any questions prior to the auction ending and to please read the description carefully. However, I am not perfect. If there has been an error or oversight made, I apologize and will refund auction cost of item. I must be notified of any questions or concerns regarding purchase within 3 days after receipt of item. Returns made only if there is a discrepancy or error in my item description. Buyer must return same item in exact condition, carefully packaged and insured. I can not be responsible for items damaged enroute that are not insured. Shipping costs are not refundable. I can not provide a refund on a returned item that has been altered, damaged, or exchanged with a similar-looking item.
