I don know about you, but I have been happily shopping for many years with an interest in timeless designs and those all-important details of good tailoring. And I love bargains on good quality clothing and accessories.
After a couple of decades working in healthcare, I grew weary of 65-hour plus weeks for years on end and the managed care environment. So, I decided to make a mid-life career change from an executive health care position to something that didn require my whole life to be work.
A funny thing happened on the way to a less stressful new job I finally lost the weight that had crept on during those years as an executive. My sister thought I should try eBay since there would be other women who need professional clothing.
Since I was a child, I have been able to remember happenings in my life along with details about what I was wearing at the time. Now, I am selling clothing and accessories that served me well in dealing with heads of major corporations, top political leaders and many others.
My professional clothes tend to be classic styles, colors and made of natural fibers such as silk, wool, linen and cotton. Every once in awhile I might find a fiber blend or man-made fabrication that I can resist. I am partial to texture in fabric. I also tend to purchase several pieces from a set and find coordinating pieces from other designers to stretch my suit wardrobe in several different directions and to make sure I don match someone else in the room. Buying clothes in color wardrobes makes it much easier to pack for trips too.
I believe that quality clothing is a good investment in professional appearance. So I have maintained my clothing very well. After all, my job didn't require strenuous work -- just strenuous brainwork!
