I retired from 33 years of government service back on October 2007. My wife jumped onboard the retired wagon, too. So we began our retired life together, looking for new adventures. We had been on eBay for several years prior. But in an effort to simply our lives - we began cleaning out the garage and closets. Yard Sales were a lot of work and sweat. BING! Let's sell this stuff on eBay! We began on eBay as most do, with small sales to clean out the garage and closet. Soon we caught the eBay fever and started looking for our favorite and hard to find items to buy while continuing to reduce the clutter in the garage. After a while, we saw a niche for us to start selling on eBay. So here we are: Stormie's Crafts and More! Named after our "Alpha" cat who runs the home (well, at least she thinks she does in her own cat mind). She lets us know when the Mail Lady comes by, when the Big Brown Truck stops out front and when it is time to quit searching on eBay and feed her! Our adventures on eBay continue, providing the BEST customer service we possibly can to all of our customers.
We do things a bit different than most sellers.
- First, everyone who purchases from us gets an eBay email from us, telling them when the item(s) will ship.
- Second, we ship the NEXT day unless the Post Office is closed for a holiday or Sunday.
- Third, we treat every customer as we would like to be treated on eBay. We answer all emails, usually with hours unless we are on "Vacation", which will be posted at our Store. We handle problems and usually make everyone happy. Yes, there are some folks that can never be made "happy", but we try.
The one thing that most "Non-Selling" eBayers do not know: the Detailed Sellers Rating (DSR) is really important to us sellers. We need to do things the right way to make our customers happy, thus hoping that the customers not only give a green POSITIVE, but click on 5 STARS in each of the four rating categories.
If we do not maintain the highest percentages for our DSR stars, we will not qualify for fee discounts. But many of our customers take the time of giving a feedback, but do not complete the DSR ratings. We really need these DSR ratings.
And when discussing these DSR Rating, non-sellers need to know that anything less than 5 STARS, in each of the four categories, is a penalty to the Seller. That is why we really strive to give the best Customer Service to all of our customers. That lets us qualify for the Fee Discounts and lets us lower our prices to you!
If ever there is a problem or complaint, be sure to contact us so we may resolve the problem or complaint, and earn the Positive feedback and 5 Stars across the board for DSR's. We are nice folks and are happy to work with you! Just give us a chance to do so!
One last "Shipping" note to our Canadian Friends. We do allow most of our auctions and "buy it nows" to be shipped to Canada. We certainly try to keep the shipping costs down, however, Post Office rules mandate we take these items to the local P.O. to mail. This entails travel, time, gasoline, paperwork and long lines. So, shipping costs are slightly higher to Canada. Then, there is the "Custom's Duty Fees" that may be added to the cost at the border. We have no control over Duty Fees by Canadian Customs. However, we have been rated poorly in the DSR's by Canadian customers thinking we are adding these costs ourselves. Again, if there is a problem, contact us first so we may assist you in understanding the international shipping process. We are not able to remove the Duty Fees, but at least you will know where this fee came from.
Now on to a few things that we dearly love!
In the photos, we have our two bird friends here in Florida who hang around our oak trees: Hootie the Owl and Hawkeye the Hawk! Both are beautiful and are great hunters.
In our links, we have listed our Suncoast Animal League. It is a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue agency, taking in abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals. The Suncoast Animal League provides medical treatment, shelter, socialization and plenty of love to the animals while they wait for their forever home. In addition, the Suncoast Animal League provides specialized services for animals traumatized from previous experiences and, in some cases, provides temporary foster care in a home setting for those animals in need of more intense, hands-on care. Click on the link and go check it out!
We are also Arena Football Fans. Yes, the 2009 season was suspended, but we are hoping for a 2010 or 2011 restart. See our link to the Tampa Bay Storm Arena Football Fans.
Cooking is one of our fun activities! Publix, a large grocery store here in Florida, has a really nice site for quick and fun meals. Really nice!
Thanks for looking at our "Me" page! Stop by again!
