We started out making candles, because my daughter loved candles before she passed away, and I and my best friend loved candles also, but we were sick of the candles in the stores with "fake" or "plastic" scents. We found suppliers with real-smelling scents, and still use them.

Later we decided to add to the line, in order to make nice, scent-themed gift baskets, and to get away from the petrochemicals (Paraffin wax is a by-product of gasoline!) and other synthetic ingredients in everything, and to go a little "green" so to speak. Did you know most lip balms have a product similar to Vaseline in them? Did you know Vaseline is also known as "petroleum jelly"? Did you know that most of what you buy to take a bath with don't say soap on them? They say "beauty bar" or "bath bar" or something similar. That's because they legally aren't allowed to call them soap, since they aren't really soap. They take out the glycerin, which draws water to itself, and add all kinds of detergents (yes, DETERGENTS!) and other ingredients to make them sudsy, etc. We just use the right combination of vegan oils to make our soaps lather so rich and smooth and silky....You have to try it to see!
