grammy$*trunk*$how

Hello,

Welcome to my little corner of eBay. Those adorable children pictured above are my 5 precious grandkids. Some of you may remember me as grammy_25. I changed my eBay id to the closest thing I could get to my old store's name so now I will be known as grammy$*trunk*$how. My new name is a little awkward to type (what was I thinking?!) Please add me to your "Favorites" list to make it easier for you to check on my auctions.

My name is Marilyn. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for over 39 years. We moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest about 12 years ago after an injury to my husband prompted us to make a serious lifestyle change. The good news is that my husband has returned to work and I am not going back to work! My family is the most important thing in the world to me. We have been blessed with 2 children and 5 grandchildren ~ 4 girls and 1 boy. eBay is a great way for me, being a long distance grandmother, to make a little extra money to spend on the grandkids and to be able to visit them a little more often.

Our daughter-in-law, tomboy*in*a*tutu (please check out her auctions) suggested I try eBay. She said I should buy a few things before I try selling. That is when my life changed forever. I discovered, much to my delight and my husband's horror, that you could buy fabric on eBay! I have a real passion for fabrics, but I am an absolute Chenille nut! I probably own more chenille than a lot of fabric stores! My sewing room/eBay room was also our home office, so my husband was in there alot. He doesn't understand why I "collect" so much fabric. In addition to my rather large fabric stash I have pizza like boxes full of scraps of fabric (sorted by color) for applique and clothing embellishment. The trouble is I don't do much applique or clothing embellishment! (I did do the patroitic outfits the grandkids are wearing, tho!) Fortunately for me he is very generous and didn't look behind the decorative skirts all the tables in the room are wearing to see how much more was being "collected". Now that we have moved I have a dedicated sewing/eBay room, but everything must fit into this room! That is why I am constantly in cleaning mode. My loss (although usually temporary) is your gain! I do sell more than just fabric on eBay. More vintage treasures from the family trunk will be coming soon and you never know what else I'll come up with, so check back often.

When you buy from me there are a few things I would like you know about my policies and procedures:

I try to be as accurate and informative as possible in my descriptions. I may miss things so I really do want you to ask any questions you may have prior to bidding. I want you to be happy with your purchase(s). I want my fabric and other items to go to good homes that know exactly what they will be receiving. I check my email several times a day, although I do take occasional days off from eBay. Whether I am buying or selling I consider all sales final. Any flaws will be noted to the best of my ability. I am not perfect or an expert in any field so please read my descriptions carefully, look at my pictures, and ask any questions you may have prior to bidding.

A word about my measurements (fabric measurements that is!)

I do not remove the selvage edge from my fabrics as I find myself referring to them often. The selvage edge is not consciously included in my measurements. My fabric pieces will often be larger than the size stated, especially if the piece is an irregular one. My fabric squares will generally be the size stated in the listing, or a scant larger. Chenille cuts will nearly always be larger as I often cut between the rows to prevent unnecessary loss of chenille and I will very rarely cut through a rosebud ~ they are just too beautiful and expensive! Whether you are buying from me or someone else, please be sure you understand what you are buying!! Communication is very important!

Shipping and handling

Shipping and handling fees are a sore subject with me. I know there are more costs involved in shipping an item than just postage ~ like time, packaging materials, gas, maybe even employees! I do not like paying a lot for shipping and handling as a buyer so as a seller I try to be as reasonable as possible. However, I do add a handling charge of $1.00 to cover my expenses ~ this is waived on multiple purchases when paid with 1 (one) combined payment. I am happy to combine shipping for multiple auction wins, provided a single payment is made. Please ask for a combined billing invoice before making payment. If you are sent an invoice and are not through shopping, please let me know and be sure to request a combined shipping invoice when you are finished. All items are shipped from our smoke free but no longer pet free home. I ship fast, usually within 24-48 hours of receiving notice of your confirmed payment. I ship worldwide. I mark the customs form as "other" and the value declared is the closing auction price (without S&H). This is not a negotiable procedure. First Class Mail International is the method I use most often as it is generally the most efficient and affordable way to ship Internationally. For domestic shipping I use USPS for most items. I personally prefer to use Priority Mail. I don't like to wait the 2-10 days 1st class mail can take, I want my items NOW! If insurance is desired please contact me. Insurance is not available in all cases for International shipping. I will require insurance on breakable items. I package your item as carefully as possible for shipping, but once the item is out of my hands it is out of my control. If your item is shipped to you in a plastic bag, please do not use it to store your item long term as damage may occur. Plastic bags are intended as a safeguard in shipping not for storage.

Payment information

I prefer PayPal for payment, but US Money Orders and Cashier's checks are also accepted. Credit cards and e-checks are accepted through PayPal. Payment is expected within 7 days of the close of auction. If you will be mailing me a Money Order or Cashier's check or if you need additional time, please contact me to make special arrangements.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope we will have the opportunity to meet again.

**Many thanks to my awesome daughter-in-law for making my templates and for being so great to work with and soooo patient with me. Please take a moment to check out her auctions.**
