Hello my name is Marilyn.
I have been married for 41 years. I am a mother of 4 children 2 girls and 2 boys. I am a Grandmother of 7, 5 of them are girls and 2 boys.
I started getting involved with e-bay with my Daughter Julie who had a store. I was responsible for sorting, cleaning and general fixing of Barbie's their hair, clothing etc. I found out that I really enjoyed finding something new to me or being able to clean and save a beautiful gown from being thrown out.
So as the business grew Julie was busy with her own family and her battle with fibromyalsia I decided to open my own store and have been busy with it ever since.
Most of the items I sell are given to me. I do buy some from e-bay but I find better items from friends, neighbors and family.
I will be listing other items in the future. I have very nice friends and relatives that donate what they don't want to me to help with medical expenses for my family.
BARBIE ITEMS
All Barbie clothes that I sell have been washed and pressed by me when need or unless they are new.
I do a TLC lot for clothes that need repair or have a spot or strain on the top or the bottom.
All accessories and shoes have been cleaned when needed.
All dolls are cleaned by me and hair brushed when needed.
Some are sold in my store. Most are sold in bulk.
TLC lot for dolls are dolls that need hair work have a stain that I am not sure that will come out. Are missing earrings or a ring some have bites or chews and I state that in the listing when they do.
I am downsizing my store my eyes just can't take the long computer time that it takes to have a store full. Also my family has encouraged me to slow down after the last few years.
So there will be more auctions and less store listings.
UPDATE ON THE FAMILY Dec. 2009
My Mother who had mouth cancer is doing well.
My Brother who has non hodgekins lymphoma is in remission.
My son-in-law lost his battle with cancer May 1st 2008 he was 41 years old and leaves 4 children ages 17 to 3 yrs. old.
My Granddaughter Lia was diagnosed with Infantile Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at 6 weeks of age in Sept. 2007. She had a bone marrow transplant in January 2008. She is now 2 1/2 years old and is doing wonderful. No signs of any problems with learning and development that they were worried about from all the chemo and radiation she had as a baby.
The new problem is with Rebecca who is almost 5 she has 2 problems with her heart. She had a angioplasty in November but it didn't go as well as they hoped. We are looking at open heart surgery in the beginning of next year. It is hard for her she gets so scared when the circulation is bad in her legs and her feet get numb. To much for a little girl to deal with so soon after the loss of her Daddy.
A special thank you to all that have supported me through my son-in-law’s and Granddaughter’s illnesses. You have given me strength when I thought I had no more and kept me going.
