Through grandmawascool you will find fashion treasures from the distant past to add to your collection of stunning vintage outfits or you can compliment your current style with artful designs from a more feminine era. Vintage clothes are parts of history that happen to increase in value over the years as many of the "old favorite" dresses, handbags, etc. are commonly discarded by their original owners, never to be seen again. These wonderful antiques can now be enjoyed and cherished everyday by YOU - either worn on the body or framed on a wall and then passed on to your grandkids and their grandkids! Grandma is dedicated to preserving the excitement and allure of popular designs from the 1890's to the 1970's. Grandma feels the clothes back in her day more accurately glorify the natural curves of a woman's body than many of the fashions today. When purchasing vintage clothing you will come across garments in a varying range of condition. Because of the age of some garments there could be some wear or minor damage that must be taken into consideration by both the buyer and seller. Grandma will faithfully describe the condition of every garment for sale and will assign it one of the following condition descriptions Mint, Good, Excellent, Fair, As Is. Mint: Rarely or never worn. There will be no stains, tears, repairs, or alterations visible inside or out. Excellent: Minimal wear and tear, no visible stains, repairs or tears. Good: Some flaws but they are not very noticeable or do not affect how wearable it is. Most vintage clothes fall under this category. Fair: Damage that has either been repaired or can be repaired easily. Most fair garments are wearable provided that some slight repairs are completed first. As Is: Cannot be repaired by Grandma. They will be sold as is because some fun people (you know who you are) like to try to fix up vintage clothes. Some use "As Is" pieces for art projects or costumes. Grandma supports this because it keeps mint or excellent pieces from being used for temporary projects. It is your responsibility to ask questions first and make sure you understand what an As Is quality piece is. Grandma does not give refunds for these items. If you can't fix it or use it then don't buy it! Note: Grandma will list every flaw she can find. If you purchase an item and find a flaw that was not described, or you feel the item is not in the condition you believed it to be please contact Grandma and if her eyes are working good that day, she'll reply quickly. Feedback is given when feedback is received! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Return/Refund & Shipping Info~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I do accept returns. Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. I only refund the original purchase price. I do not refund shipping costs. Buyers are responsible for paying return shipping. All return items must receive acknowledgment/approval from me first. I am not responsible for items damaged or lost by the USPS. If a major error has been made by me I will stand by my product and make it right. However........It is not my error if: An item does not fit. Because every auction has measurements listed in inches. If an item's color looked different on your computer screen. Every monitor is different. If your item arrives broken or gets lost in shipping. I DO NOT give returns for items being sold as fixer uppers beacuse they are damaged. If an item is listed as being sold AS IS then it is NOT eligible for a refund. 100% refunds are only given for items that are significantly different from what I have described or are not in the condition I have described. I use the same dress form everyday. It is a standard size 6 it has a bust size of approx 34". That means I have to pin the clothes behind like they do in the stores in order to get them to fit. I DO NOT alter the shape of the item but attempt to keep the proportions correct in relation to my dress form. Because of this I give every measurment exactly using a tape measure and laying the item flat. NOTHING smaller than a 34" bust can fit on my dress form. Please take your measurments before bidding! Anyone who emails me telling me the item is smaller than a 34" bust just to get a refund is not cool. Why? Because it is impossible if it has been photographed on the dress form. I wrap every item in plastic. I do not use fancy tissue paper anymore because my business is now too large (thanks everyone!) I do this to protect your item from the elements! I also love trees and will recycle packaging. Answers to questions customers ask me everyday: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have won multiple items but am still shopping. Should I pay now or later? No. I combine shipping by weight. Everytime you win an item I will send you a combined invoice which will reflect the cost of shipping for your multiple wins. If you are done shopping pay the invoice. If you are waiting for other auctions to end then wait until they are finished and pay the new combined invoice I will send you. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you ship surface economy mail for international purchases? Yes! But.....I only offer the economy 4-6 week cheap service for items won for $5.00 or more. Why is this you may ask? Because I have to hand pack and create packaging for items which I do not ship Global Priority. It takes a lot of extra time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why don you ship parcel post? I no longer offer parcel post as a shipping option because it is actually 10 cents more expensive than priority mail and takes twice as long. All domestic mail labels are printed online. If I ship priority mail delivery confirmation is free. If I ship parcel post they charge you an extra 14 cents plus I have to make/find packaging. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why don you ship first class? I only ship jewelry and extremely lightweight items first class. Yes first class is cheaper but it must meet special requirements and be less than 13 ozs. Yes! I combine shipping by weight only. You pay actual shipping costs! If you win mulitple auctions I will weigh your winnings and ship them together.
