Just Plain Old Boring Folks

A little info about me and my better half (had to put that in as he is standing over my shoulder.) We are just a pair of PROUD Grandparents.

But shucks, we are not old enough to retire and to poor to think about it at this time.

I did retire, even though my hubsand almost had a stroke when I gave my notice. I had worked at the same company for 13 years and due to health reasons I called it quits. Best move I ever made and I have learned to enjoy cornbread and beans. Matter of fact, they taste pretty good now.

My hubby says I have to help contribute to our income, so to make money without the stress of going to work everyday I have started trying my hand at selling items on e-bay that we either don't need and what my friends don't need or their grandkids have outgrown. I am having a blast.

My hubsand claims that I would sell anything and maybe even him. Who knows, he might show up on e-bay as a gently used hubsand up for bids. But I really don't think I would get any offers.

I enjoy my family life. I am a wife, mother and very proud grandmother. I now have four granddaughters and one grandson and one great-granddaughter. One daughter and 3 granddaughters have moved into our cracker box house. Guess my hubby won't be able to retire as soon as he thought. He is now surrounded by 5 women and is totally out voted on everything.

I would like to leave you with one thought - author unknown - but my favorite:

One hundred years from now,

it will not matter what kind of car I drove,

what kind of house I lived in,

how much was in my bank account,

nor what my clothes looked like.

But the world may be a little better because

I was important in the life of a child.
