I have been a psychotherapist for 30 years.   I've worked in small clinics to major hospitals.  I even worked at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis for a number of years.  I am married to a wonderful man who is a representative for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.  Our children are grown--we have a daughter who is a pharmacist in Texas, a son in the Navy (he and his wife are expecting their first baby) and a daughter in college.  My husband travels quite a bit, goes to some pretty interesting places (with or without me).  In the picture above, he's traveling "with me"--we're in Las Vegas.  So what does all this have to do with building an online business?

It's like this-- Hubby told me if I could replace my income, I could quit working an 8-5.  Now, that's an offer I can't refuse. I want to continue to help others but at the same time I want to spend more time with my husband.  This allows me to do both.

I chose "kitchen and home" because home is where my heart is and my kitchen is the place where my friends and family gather--where we  share great times and create  lasting memories.  My son learned to make biscuits at my kitchen table, and my daughters learned to decorate cakes and shell peas.  It is the place I made my 6 year-old son sit and sit until he ate that stuffed flounder.  (He held out and the cats got the fish.) It's where my sister and I sat up until the wee hours of the morning playing Trivial Pursuit. (My husband gave up and went to bed, defeated, of course). It's where my younger daughter beat me 38 times in Chinese Checkers, where my granddaughter played in the cookie dough--after she played with the cats. My kitchen is the first place my friends sit down when they come in. "Got some coffee?  How about a piece of pie?"
