Living in the Past!
Me At The Train Museum In Savannah, Georgia

Hi! My name is Suzy. My husband, Lee, and I have been selling collectibles on eBay since December 2001. About a year before that, we inherited my husband's family home. Four generations of his family had lived there at one time or another. Fortunately (or unfortunately) no one in his family ever threw anything away. The house, which has a full attic and full basement, was packed to the brim with collectibles, some as old as the Civil War.

Just to give you an idea: We found lying in the coal dust on the basement floor an ambrotype of one of Lee's ancestors in his Confederate uniform; stuffed in an attic trunk a postcard signed by Buffalo Bill; and wedged in the kitchen pantry an Art Nouveau serving tray made by a famous French artist, J. Garnier. There was also a world of vintage household and personal items, including the 6000+ books that belonged to my father-in-law. At first, we had no idea how we were going to deal with all of this stuff. Then we learned about selling on eBay.

Over the past few years, we've culled through a lot of these items, selling many, keeping some for ourselves and for our children. The items we have sold have found homes as far away as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe. We've sold super balls to Australia, how to speak Norwegian tapes to the Channel Islands, and an original Moby Dick comic to a toy store in Maine. We've had such success on eBay, we have decided to open a store and work hard at making our business something that we can do full-time as a family. Even our children are now involved in our business!

We've sold everything from tools, to toys, to vintage comics, to riding lawn mower brochures from the 50s. Because of the breadth of the items we have sold, we have had to learn an enormous amount about all types of collectibles. We've read zillions of books. If you Click Here you'll go to our Amazon associates page where you can browse our favorite books.

Another great resource we've found is Skip McGrath's eBay instructional materials. We've bought and used several of his courses, and we're planning to buy more. His information is always practical and right on the money. If you're thinking about becoming an eBay seller or, like us, working on making your part-time business into a full-time business, take a look at what Skip has to offer. Just click on the button to get to his website. Just so you know, we are affiliates.
