| Walkies at "The Swamp"- 19 acres of natural wetlands, all fenced, with trails, a road, a creek and a picnic area. We bought their Greyhound Playground in 1996 before we bought our home, and since then, our kids load up in their van to drive the mile to the Swamp twice a day. This photo is from 2001. Now we are 9 and many of the senior faces have changed.

| NCG exists to create and market merchandise to owners of retired racers (well, ANY greyhounds actually, and galgos, too!) in order to send monies to adoption groups who do all the hard work - this part is fun! We offer our wares here on eBay, on our website, and at several greyhound gatherings around the country during the year. 100% of what we earn for each individual product is contributed. Benefit auctions on ebay provide the full amount of the bid, rounded up to the nearest $25 directly to the beneficiary - NCG pays for the item, eBay & PayPal fees. Paying out of pocket for travel and office expenses and supplies is our way of contributing to the cause. 2005 was our first year to pass the $25,000 goal in contributions which also put us over the $100,000 mark for the last 6 years. All recipients are shown on our website. UPDATE 8/08: We're fast approaching the $200,000 landmark!

| In 1993, I found a greyhound at a gas station and didn't know what it was. The attendant insisted she would put the dog out in the rain if I didn't take him home. After putting signs up everywhere and ads in the paper, within two days we were praying no one claimed our "Carl Lewis". Carl was evidently AKC- no tattoos, but he was a gorgeous example of his breed- so sayeth our vet. That was the same year our son gave me his old comuter and I learned to do email - from there, like Topsy, we just 'growed". Now we have 9 senior greyhounds and when most folks our age are downsizing, we added 2000 sq ft on to our home two years ago so we could walk around dog beds instead of over them! With all the wonderful friends we've met through our greyhounds, life just gets better every day!
