I've been a rare record dealer for some years now and had dabbled in cameras and photographic equipment before that. Those of you who've followed those markets may remember my ads in SHUTTERBUG (photography) or GOLDMINE and DISCOVERIES (records) magazines. I've done business in the latter two for several years as Phoenix Rising Records. Unfortunately, phoenix was already taken when I first logged on to E-bay, so griffenn was the next choice. So several years have now passed and I still haven't gotten around to moe than a dozen auctions for records!!! Been too busy with electronic test equipment, photographic equipment, and electronic parts. One of these days..... What to expect: If I finally get around to listing records, expect ACCURATE Goldmine grading and proper packaging. Beleive it or not, I had some fool send me an LP wrapped in bubble wrap. The LP was beautiful, the hole in it was not! Expect more from me. I intend to not only grade vinyl, but package and ship it in the exact same manner that I fully expect mine to arrive. You see, I'm not just the president of Phoenix Rising Records, I'm a record collector too. Electronic test equipment: I test what I can and give as accurate a description as I can of every item I list. If I sell it "as is" that ususally means that I don't have the facilities to test an item properly, not that it's junk! If it has flaws that I can find, I'll list them. The same applies to Photographic Equipment. I'm not the fastest shipper you will encounter on Ebay. Please keep in mind that this is a part-time enterprise for me and that most items take time to pack PROPERLY. I do my best to make sure that you and I don't have to work through claims with the shipper. That normally requires about a week to get your item out to you. I usually ship on Sat. for FedEx & Sat/Sun (USPS) (yes, my local P.O. has Sunday hours!). I DON'T TAKE CHECKS! This includes, but is not limited to: personal checks, business checks, credit union checks, or checks from your Uncle Solly. Last names and/or feedback ratings do NOT affect this rule. I will not consider it a completed transaction if you send a check and will enter the appropriate feedback. Please just send a money order. They're cheap, easy, and most important, I accept them!
