Green Mountain Gift Boutique was located in Kalama, Washington, and opened up in the early 80's as a florist shop.  Over time giftware became the prime focus of the store and eventually the floral aspect was completely phased out.  In 2005, the original owner of the store retired and my husband and I bought it.  On June 10th, 2005, the paperwork was signed and the deal complete.

We were warned that owning a store was extremely time consuming, but we figured we could handle it. Besides, we planned to hire some employees, get everything computerized, and hoped that once everything was set up, we would have some free time.  We had one full-time employee and several part-time employees at the store, we computerized, but we still worked evenings and weekends at the store.   Since we both work full-time away from the boutique, it made for a long week.  After a year, we decided it was too much and for our own sanity we needed to transform the store into something that was less time consuming and easier to manage.

The solution to our problem was E-Bay.  The benefit is that we get more flexibility with our time and you benefit too since we can offer much cheaper prices without store overhead!  In fact, most of my listing start at or below my WHOLESALE store price!!!   Be forewarned, once I sell out of an item it's gone.  The exception being the Muddy H2O line I carry.
