Say something about yourself? Humm...Well Im not a professional EBayer - I do it spare time & for fun and to raise funds to finance my BSA & Atari addictions. Im building a private - who knows perhaps one day public archive of all Atari Computer and Gaming systems Hardware and accessories. Heres how I do it...

My EBay Activities
I sell Retro Games and Computer systems thinned from my personal collection, I also sell a fair few military items too both from my private collection I also sell on my Atari swaps that are surplus to requirements. Plus my new mad hobby - Building and restoring a WW2 BSA WM20 500cc motorcycle - theres something special about bringing something back to life by hard work alone

How I trade:

When I buy - I usually pay cash or Pay Pal sent very promptly, when I sell I dont rip people off on the P&P and I send promptly on clearance of payment. I expect the same treatment in return.

SPECIAL NOTE - Why Im fussy about people who pay by Pay Pal - I have in the past been ripped off over 200 Quid by some Yank who paid for his goods by credit card with Pay Pal, being a tight wad he specified surface shipping no insurance, after the parcel has only been en route 5 weeks he claims non delivery of goods, and gets an instant refund for his money out of Pay Pal - knowing full well the goods still have 4 - 6 weeks before they arrive by surface mail - NOW THAT STINKS - I loose the goods and He gets his money back, Its totally against my reasonable terms of trade which simply state "I will not be responsible for loss of damage to goods in transit unless they are insured at buyers expense" -

I believe it is probably an intentional scam. I had an E Mail from the customer one month after the refund saying he'd got the goods but that they were poorly wrapped and were not as described in my lots and that he had sent them back to me, I am willing to put money on it that they will get mysteriously 'lost in the post' what is particularly galling is the excuse given for returning the goods, one look at my feedback shows I take great trouble to describe my lots accurately and take great pride in my packaging, I know the parcel I sent him was well packaged in a cut down carboard box sealed with 2" duck tape.

OTHER UK E BAYERS BEWARE - refuse to ship anything but recorded delivery to the USA to anyone that Pays via Pay Pal - I certainly do now!!!! Because you have virtually no redress with Pay Pal unless you have a signature for delivery at the other end.

Oh and just so he doesnt remain anonymous - watch out for a Mr Craig Davis ID CMD1161 E mail address CMD1161@aol.com he has messed me about something rotten.
