Our family business started out as an old time general store. It has evolved over the years into several different and separate entities. It is my ambition to re-create the inventory we used to have here on ebay, as best as I can, especially items that you don't see everyday and are very hard to find. We used to stock almost everything country folks needed to make a home and a crop. I also intend to carry on the traditions and practice the values handed down from generation to generation. Customer service seems to be a lost art these days, but on top of Sand Mountain Alabama, it was considered a requirement of our society, as important as good manners and cleanliness.

While it is true that "they don't make them like they used to", and I feel as if big corporations have taken planned obsolescence to the point of highway robbery, I do my best to find the finest quality products available. Grandaddy's standard was, "....is it worth the money?" , and to know, one has to use the product in the field. My life experiences go beyond just keeping store. I have picked cotton, bottle fed calves, and lots of other farm and cowboy chores. I have been a musician (played piano, guitar, trombone and drums and sing a little), and I love Classical, Dixieland Jazz, Big Band, Blues, Rock and Roll, Folk, Old Time Gospel (especially the "Sacred Harp" which is seldom heard anymore, except here in the mountains) and Country music IF it was written before I was born. I also love to play chess, garden, cook, read (history, science, philosophy) fish, listen to the old folks tell stories, and cheer on the Crimson Tide.
