 Hello and Welcome! I hope you find this page interesting. I am a collector of Hakata Dolls from Japan. These dolls are more like figures than "dolls". They are made of clay and cold painted. They depict many people, professions and folklore of the Japanese culture. Each are hand painted by an artist. The detail and beauty is stunning. I collect the Hakata dolls from the 1940s, 50s and 60s. I collect Urasaki, Mimasu, Sato and Kinkado Hakata dolls. Here are several pictures from my collection.
