Tom Hallenbeck joined his father in 1984 after graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in economics. Chad Kraus started with the firm in 1997 after working at the ANA for three years. In 2001 Tom purchased the business from Ken.

Tom Hallenbeck is a 25 year member of the ANA (LM-5555) and a 2 term past governor of the ANA (1997-2001). Tom is a past president of the Colorado-Wyoming Numismatic Association (CWNA) and current board member. He is also a past president and current board member of the Colorado Professional Numismatic Association (CPNA). Tom has been an instructor at the American Numismatic Association's summer seminar for over 10 years now as an instructor of "advanced coin grading". Tom has given numerous evening seminars often called "bull sessions" at the annual summer conference here in Colorado Springs at the Colorado College.

Ken Hallenbeck is a past President of the ANA and has been collecting coins for over 60 years. He has served on the board of governors for many numismatic clubs and associations on the local and national level. Ken has received many awards for his continued dedication to the hobby including the Farran Zerbe Award, the ANA's highest honor. He is now semi-retired and works a few days per week in the shop as well as on a consultant basis.

Before coming to the firm in 1997 Chad Kraus was an ANA intern while working on his Psychology Degree. After graduation Chad decided to pursue a career in numismatics and started working the front counter buying and selling coins. He now handles most bullion transactions and runs all internet operations.

Kristy Hansen is the head of our eBay Department. She has personally been a member of eBay since 1998 and with Hallenbeck Coin Gallery since 2003. She holds a degree in Fine Art from the University of Colorado - Denver. She began learning about numismatics in 2003 and learns something new every day.

The Hallenbeck Coin Gallery often attends and sets up at the major coin shows, such as the FUN show in Orlando, the ANA spring convention, the ANA anniversary convention and major coin shows in the rocky mountain region.

Terms of Sale

• Buyer pays all shipping charges.
• Payment by PayPal preferred. We also accept money orders and Credit Cards by phone.
• Pre-approved personal checks will be held 10 business days to clear our bank
• Colorado residents will be charged appropriate sales tax.
• Bidders not responding to us or sending payment after 10 days of the end of the auction, will forfeit their bid. We will file a NPB alert.

Return Policy

• All items have a 14 day NO QUESTIONS ASKED return policy. You must email us with your intent to return an item. We will REFUSE packages sent back to us without prior notification.
• Items removed from original holders are considered sold. Most items are shipped in 2x2 holders / flips for inspection with a tamper-proof seal. DO NOT tamper with the holder or the staple, we will send the coin back and NO refund. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule. This is a standard, industry procedure.
• We do not refund shipping or insurance fees.
• Bouncing a check voids return privileges.
