On behalf of myself & a few other woodcutters, and a bunch of customers, I would like to thank the wonderful designing artists who not only share thier talent with us through books and patterns, but allow us to offer these surfaces here on ebay where customers can find them. Though we can not list your URLs in our descriptions, please know we do include it in our packaging.
Again, Thank-you.
-Bev Newman

the HandcraftsMadeinUSA woodcutters (Brenda & Bev), challenge you to try the pattern packets of at least 2 new (to you) designing artists in 2007.
WooHoo! HandCraftsMadeinUSA Jan/Feb 2007 newsletter is posted for free download
And... now even offering Global Priority Mail for international Ebay purchases. |
| We have been to our local craft store haunts and most of us have found little to nothing left on the clearance shelves - what a bummer! Our painting magazines are falling with such speed we can't tell what subscription to go with... A few designing artists are putting major limits on what we can and can not do with projects using their designs... What is a career crafter to do??? How do we fill our booths, brick and mortar shops, online stores, and gift baskets with popular, fun, fresh, and unique items... we seek out the designing artists who are making pattern packets, that's how. The popular, published designers and the less known, but no less talented designers out there. There are bunches of them, most are Work At Home Moms (WAHM) and Grandmas, (sorry, haven't found any guys yet...) |
Scroll saw cut offerings from HandcraftsMadeinUSA cut by Bev at WoodCraftsFromTheHeart - my goal is to offer you surfaces to paint, surfaces that are popular and/or different, the special items that will stand out in the crowd. Please show your respect for the designing artist and go to their site to purchase the pattern packet or book when possible. I am not allowed to disclose the website url in my descriptions so hopefully you know them by heart or know were to find them...
My unfinished surface listings are geared toward the target audience of the career crafter - the craft show vendor, the teacher, the crafting event coordinator (yep, moms). For the most part, these listings are in lot quantities with affordable prices because I know you go through LOTS of work before you see a "finished product".
Cut by a woman, Bev, primarily for women though I do have a few male customers. Most of my customers cut their own wood but either want a break (or give hubby a break), or find it easier to have the pieces cut so they can concentrate on the time consuming work of painting (the "real" talent.)
In these listings, I try to provide not only larger quantites and lower prices, but also options in surfaces, both new and old designs, all of which are keeping with my goal of providing you with unique items in your booth or classroom, and the most memorable for gift giving. I try to keep my prices competitive while still maintaining quality materials.
It is common practice for us crafters to get caught up in buying surfaces and time gets away; the surfaces are shelved for "later"... so, with your order, you will find labels on the sets which include the designing artist name, artist web address if available, title of the listing, sometimes the book the surfaces go with, and info on how to contact me if need be. You will also find an insert or two, my newsletter and/or the current insert letting you know about some of my crafty friends and their offerings - can you ever have too many sites to visit?!?!? hehehe
I do want to take this opportunity to thank my wonderful customers, who have been such a blessing to me with encouragement and suggestions as to what to list. You dear friends, are soooo appreciated and a thank you goes up every night for bringing our paths in alignment.
Instructions
for painting or assembly do not come
with my listings. If the image you see is painted...you will need the
book or pattern packet mentioned above for instructions and pictures as
they are copyrighted material. For more information on the book or pattern for the listed item, please visit site of the artist or publication.
This
listing is for unfinished, cut and ready
to paint pieces only. No instructions,
patterns, or photos.
I am just providing a wood cutting service.

Folks, the craft industry, like a lot of others, is in an economic crunch. This crunch is due to a number of issues with fuel cost so high and imported items being sold at craft shows being a few of the top reasons. The crunch is harder on the designing artist than it is on anyone else in my opinion. Most all designing artists make a percentage, not the whole amount of the sale price, of the published book, and this monetary gain is only one time per publication. Most have more control over their profit on pattern packets as they are usually self published, printed, prepared, and shipped (yep, all the work and expense); on the good note for us, these are usually designs that are not only different, but usually not found in any of their books thereby making your resulting project not something "everybody" else has.
Bottom line is if you are painting an artist design you really owe it to the artist to buy the publication or pattern packet and when possible to make this purchase from them. |

Feedback - I do not leave feedback until it is left for me due to the number of customers who request for me not to leave feedback. If this is an issue for you please do not purchase from me, or ask for me to leave feedback upon payment and I will leave a "Thanks" for you in feedback. I am not holding feedback hostage, it is just easier for me to keep track of it this way. |
Below are some examples of my work.
