I began to sell antique house parts full time in June of 2006 but my journey for all things old and cool has been a long one. I have an art history degree with an emphasis in antiquities as well as work experience at 2 museums and an archaeological excavation in Crete. Let's just say I'm interested in anything with a healthy patina! House parts were so fun to collect and who wouldn't want to make a living selling something that you love personally. I find them all over the Northwest from estate sales and salvage shops to antique stores and even dumpsters. Many times I collect up the parts and pieces well in advance so I can offer the complete working piece sometime down the road. Not that I don't sell parts and pieces, but sometimes ebay buyers want something that's ready to install. Don't hesitate to ask questions about any and all of my items.
I have also made a commitment to donate a number of rare and unusual house parts to the Architectural Heritage Center in Portland (www.visitAHC.org). Be sure to check out their massive collection when you're in town as it's the largest private collection of architectural salvage in the US
