Old Dala Horses

My name is Karen and I live in Burlington, Iowa.  I was so excited to find Ebay!  I am able to find the antiques I collect without ever leaving my home. I think Ebay also offers the best selling opportunity, with access to buyers all over the country.  I love the early painted furniture, trunks, pantry boxes and other smalls.  My favorite saying...."blue is gold".

My Great Grandmother immigrated from Sweden in the late 1800's at the age of 19.  I guess it was only natural that I would someday learn to appreciate the beauty of the Swedish painted antiques.  My most prized collection are the beautiful old Dala horses.  I am always looking for horses dating pre 1920. I also have a large collection of the old Swedish and Norwegian painted trunks, many having names and dates going back to c.1799.
