Sanford & Son Ain't Got Nuthin' On Me!



I am the diehard fan of yard sales, thrift shops, junk stores, stuff that other people throw away or give away, stuff that people have been meaning to repair but never got around to and want to just get it out of their way... or anything else you can think of. In short, I just love "stuff"! I am a Packrat with a capital P! I particularly like to take old things and give them a new life and add value. For example by polishing up an old neglected piece of silver. I love stuff that has a "history" or a past. I like to think about the people who used it and then I like to pass it on to someone else who can appreciate the value of an item that will stand the test of time.


I particularly like unusual items or items of good design or beauty. And what I see as beautiful, others may not. One of my favorite sayings has always been "The useful and the beautiful are never separated". I do not know who said that or I would give credit to the author.
