Hello. Thanks for stopping by. My name is Carrie.
I'll try to briefly explain what happened to me and why I sell my detox kits. The one photo with the boxer was taken after I had been doing some cleanses and detoxing for about 6 months, so I had already lost weight and was feeling better. I can't put any photos of when I was really heavy because I refused to have any photos taken at that weight if anyone understands that.
So, in 2000 or so, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. It is like Chronic Fatigue with widespread body pain. I deteriorated so much I was in bed all the time and my husband had to give me baths and wash my hair because I couldn't lift my arms because of the pain.
At the time, they didn't know anything about it but said there was no known cause and no known cure. One morning I just felt like I was hit by a truck and all my muscles or in between my muscles (fascia) hurt. It's hard to remember now. I was just really sick. I went for injections in the muscles of my back and shoulders every couple of weeks. I went to physical therapy, accupuncture, massage. I took a lot of pain killers. I think I was on 8 different types of pills per day for depression, anxiety, inflammation, pain, whatever. I was about 31 years old. I prayed for a miracle or for God to end my life.
One day my brother Tim send me this book, "The Detox Book" by Bruce Fife. I read it and started a few things in there. The first thing I did was a coffee enema (with all the energy I could muster and help from my husband). The chapter on the colon was so important for me. My colon was stagnated and it was polluting my body. I didn't have a hideous disease, I was constipated all the time. I started studying the effects of food on your body. I started studying herbs and cleansing and detoxification.
Here's a bit of information for you:

Anyway, I started a colon cleanse with capsules and a kidney cleanse as well. After 2 days, I did another coffee enema. The day after that, I did another coffee enema.
In the meantime, I stopped eating: sugar, meat, cheese, white flour, white rice, and a host of other things. I stopped drinking coffee. Within 2 weeks I had a marked improvement of my back pain. Within one month, even the pain up and down my spine was gone. I had switched to organic food. I switched to distilled water. I stopped wearing a bra. (For a while anyway). I stopped wearing deodorant. (All for different reasons because they block the lymph and toxins from flowing in and out of your body.)
I just stopped adding pollutants any place and anwhere I could.
I got better. I started walking everyday. I took hot baths with peroxide (35% food grade I think I used) in the bathwater.
So. I guess I had leaky-gut syndrome caused by eating processed foods and too much stress, too much sugar and too much partying, and too much coffee with sugar, and not eating until early evening. And probably from not eating enough vegetables. I basically ran myself ragged. My body just said, "ENOUGH."
I need to take care of myself now. But, the Fibromyalgia was totally cured or put into remission, whatever they want to call it.
I stopped all the medication after 3 weeks. That was NOT FUN. But, I wasn't in pain any longer, so I had to stop taking in those toxins.
But, that was in 2003 that I changed everything. It is now 2009. I lost more than 50 pounds and it stayed off.
I did a few more things like got rid of all carpeting in my house and curtains. I put air filters in my house and put and put reverse osmosis in my sink for water.
Later, I reintroduced certain foods into my diet to see how I feel. I started eating organic red meat or chicken 2 or 3 times per week I eat some dairy now. I have eaten some junk food, and yes, it makes me sick and tired, so I go back to organic, healthy food. But the Fibro hasn't come back. I know that I have to cleanse my body and eat right. Sometimes those commercials are oh so tempting....
Anyway, for people who are just a bit sick and tired of being sick and tired, try detoxing. Try avoiding sugar, and white flour, and doing a full body cleanse.
