Heroes for Sale is a team of two based in Phoenix, Arizona. I am a high school English teacher and my partner is a high school special education teacher. We teamed up to give you the best in vintage toys (his area) and vintage clothes (my expertise) so that you could have a well-rounded buying experience.
A bit about me (the computer wiz of the two):
I am in my fifth year teaching in South Phoenix and I absolutely love it! I have the best job in the world and I actually go to work happy to be doing it every day! I also love the heat in Arizona - especially since I just bought a house with a pool last year! I have been a seller and buyer on ebay since March 2000 and I love this site! No matter what you are looking for - even if it is really, really old or rare - you can find it on ebay!
I enjoy shopping at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and swap meets to get you what you are looking for on ebay! I am trying to build up my business with fabulous finds so that my buyers can be happy with all of their purchases!

Some of our greatest ebay accomplishments:
We bought a vintage game system (a Neo Geo) at a yard sale for $10.00 not knowing how valuable it was. We listed it on ebay thinking no one would want this out of date system and low and behold a bidding war started. After around 40 bids the system sold for $250.00! We were shocked but happy that our (apparently) one of a kind find was so wanted by everyone! We hope to do this again and make someone else's day by giving them a vintage game system that is rare and hard to find!
We picked up a Nintendo Virtual Boy (another hard to find game system) at a garage sale for $15.00. After researching on ebay (we learned to price check after the Neo Geo triumph) we realized that ours might not be worth very much. After having it a month or so - we decided to list it. We placed a Buy It Now on the system for $50.00 to see what happens. The system ended up selling in 10 minutes and about 15 seconds! That must be some kind of ebay record!!!
