Who Am I & What's My Shipping Policy?
My motto is "Under promise and over deliver."
I aim to EXCEED your expectations.
I’m just a Grandma with too much “stuff.” I started out buying on eBay until the house was overflowing. Then, I started selling some of the “stuff.” My husband says I’d even sell the pets if they’d sit still long enough for me to take a photo of them. (Not true.)
A true story though: He did notice a lamp was missing and asked about it one day. It was an old wooden lamp with 40 niches for a miniature thimble collection. I had to confess that I had sold it to a lady in Russia who was going to give it to her Mother as a birthday gift. I guess it sat still long enough for a photo. This is such an interesting hobby - selling and buying on eBay - you "meet" so many nice people from all over the world !
I enjoy going on "buying trips" for things my repeat buyers are collecting. Plus I buy other eclectic treasures that come across my path to keep life interesting. I especially like “saving” older books. I guess I fancy myself a RESCUER of books, dogs, cats, and any unwanted items. I usually list several similar items in a weekly theme, but include a few unusual items just to keep up my interest and yours.
I believe in the quote “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” plus “honesty is always the best policy.” If I inadvertently forget to mention something, you can be sure it was unintentional. My buyers’ satisfaction is my ultimate goal. I enjoy meeting so many great people via eBay, and I want each of you to come back and buy from me again.
I love to combine auctions. To save you money $$ on postage, just tell me to start a box for you. Since it's getting more difficult for me to get out of the house, I now only ship on Tuesdays and Fridays. Since I package on Mondays and Thursdays, I cannot promise shipping the same (or even the next) day as your payment. If I quote a shipping cost in the description, you need not wait for me to bill you in order to pay.
Domestic (U.S.A.) Buyers: Priority mail with delivery confirmation usually takes from 2 to 4 days to the 48 contiguous states and 3 to 6 days to Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands, Alaska or Hawaii.I do not charge more to ship to APOs and FPOs. I ship to our brave military in training plus in harm's way immediately and via priority mail. I do not charge extra for APOs and FPOs as some Sellers do. International Buyers: Express mail takes about 2 to 3 days. Global Priority Mail and Airmail Letter Post, and Air Parcel Post usually arrives within 6 to 10 days and Economy Parcel Post, and economy letter post (surface) takes 4 to 6 weeks for arrival, but is much cheaper. Parcel post is the only method that allows me to add insurance for international shipments. Express mail is the only method with tracking.
Please email me for quotes on various choices of shipping methods. I always ship via the Postal Service with delivery confirmation (domestic only) so you can track its progress to you. Included in any of my quotes is reimbursement of my packaging costs ranging from 50 cents to a maximum of $4, depending on the distance it must travel and its size, quantity, and fragility. I use the lightest-weight packing materials available + recycled materials where I can to keep your packaging costs down but still ensure safe transport of your purchase and reduce the impact on the environment.
