Frequently Asked Questions
General Auction
-
What is your reserve price?
None of our auctions have a reserve.
I'll give you $X for this right now/can I buy this item now?
We do not do business outside of EBay, you would need to be the winning bidder of an auction. We do have BIN auctions set up on some of our items but the majority of our items are set up for $1 no reserve, high bidder gets the item.
I live outside the United States, why am I not allowed to bid on your item?
Our management software will automatically block anyone registered with EBay outside the United States because we do not ship internationally. This setting does not allow for individual exclusions even if you have a US ship-to address.
Do you have a retail store?
No, we are strictly an EBay business.
Do you sell wholesale?
We do offer wholesale lots from time to time.
What is your feedback policy?
Positive feedback will be left for you when you pay for your item.
Payment and Checkout
-
How long do I have to pay for my item?
You have seven days to pay for your auction winnings, items will be relisted and your checkout disabled after that. Unpaid item claims are automatically filed with EBay so we can recover at least some of our fees.
Do you accept money orders or checks?
No, PayPal through our secure checkout is our only accepted form of payment.
Can I call you with my credit card to pay for my item?
No, PayPal through our secure checkout is our only accepted form of payment.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
This can usually be set up through your PayPal account.
Shipping and Delivery
-
What shipping methods do you offer?
We ship UPS Ground for most items, larger wholesale lots will be sent LTL truck freight.
WE DO NOT SHIP to PO Boxes, APO/FPO or any address outside the lower 48 United States.
Emails asking us to ship outside the lower 48 United States will not be
answered.
Can I upgrade my shipping method to something faster?
We are only set up for ground shipments at this time.
Can I pick this up to save on shipping?
Sorry, we do not allow local pickup.
Do you combine shipping fees for multiple auctions won?
We are not able to do this. Our shipping fees are some of the lowest on EBay, but
unfortunately our system does not understand combined costs-there is a fixed shipping price for each item we sell.
How long does it take for my item to ship?
Typically we ship the next business day from when your payment is made.
How do I get a tracking number?
Our system will automatically send tracking information via email when your package is scanned in our warehouse. If you do not receive this email, please check your junk mail folder and/or spam filter settings. Tracking will not be immediately available on ups.com since information takes a few hours to get loaded in their system.
Customer Service
-
Can I call you with questions?
Email is the best way to reach us, we'll respond very quickly we promise
:)
I sent an email to you and I never got a response-why?
We answer emails within one business day, if you haven't gotten a response from us there could be several causes:
1. If you send an email through EBay and choose 'hide my email address' it is impossible for us to respond to your questions.
2. Check your junk mail folder and your spam filter settings.
3. We never got your messages.
4. If your question was one easily answered by reading the listing, it is possible that you will not receive a response. This also applies to
any buy-it-now offers, especially the ridiculous ones.
This item does not suit my application/I made a mistake on this so can I return it and get my money back?
We do not offer refunds or credits. Items within the warranty period will be repaired if applicable, but a return authorization must be obtained first.
What if the item doesn't work?
Email us with the details and we will let you know how to proceed. If an item appears damaged from shipping, please save the box and packing materials.

Will this sub/amp work with my amp/sub?
When emailing this type of question, please provide as much information as possible such as model numbers, quantity and impedance of subwoofers being used, etc. A good rule of thumb is to match rms output of the amplifier to the rms power handling of the subwoofer at a given impedance. For example, a 401S amplifier will do 400 watts x 1 at four ohms. This means you would need a single four ohm subwoofer with 400 watts rms power handling. Dual voice coil or multiple subwoofers can complicate the matter, a great tool to determine your nominal impedance is the Rockford Wiring Wizard
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp
What is the deal with rms and peak/max power ratings? -
The rms rating of an amplifier is the number to
use when selecting your equipment. Please do not pay attention to
peak or max ratings-quite frankly, they are meaningless. We try
our best to avoid using any references to peak power in our listings so
you get the most accurate numbers on the amplifiers we sell. Be
very careful with sellers making outrageous power claims, always use the
rms power rating to assure real world performance.

What size install kit should I use for my amplifier?
Best practice is to use the largest gauge wire your amplifier will
accept. Generally speaking eight gauge is good up to 500 watts rms,
four gauge is good up to 1000 watts rms. The manual for your
amplifier should have a recommendation as to wire size.
What fuses do I need to use?
Your main fuse will be at the battery, and you want the unfused section
of wire (from the battery terminal to the input of your fuse holder) to
be as short as possible. This is absolutely imperative for your
own safety. The manual for your amplifier can tell you what value the fuse should be. If you're running multiple amplifiers, add together
the fuse values from all your amplifiers and there is your main fuse value.
You will need to fuse again using a distribution block with the
individual amplifiers' fuse values.
What is the best way to ground an amplifier?
Poor grounding is probably the number one cause of noise problems in mobile electronics. You want your grounds to be as short as possible and the same gauge wire as power. Best way to go is to be bolted to clean metal (take some sandpaper and remove any paint, primer, grease, etc.) on the main pan of the vehicle. Seat bolts and other factory bolts typically provide a very poor ground since they are often anodized or
treated in some other fashion.
My headlights are dimming what should I do?
This is a very common situation as car amplifiers get more and more powerful. In a nutshell, your vehicle's alternator cannot keep up with the voltage demanded. Capacitors can help
with this problem, one farad per 1000 watts should be sufficient but more never hurts. Keep in mind
though if your alternator is
severely undersized or your electrical system is unhealthy in some other way, all the capacitors in the world will not likely help you.
Should I use a sealed or a ported subwoofer enclosure?
Most subwoofers will be best suited to a particular type of enclosure and this information should be in the manual. Sealed enclosures offer the best sound quality and are more compact while ported enclosures are larger and louder. If you're all about rap and hip-hop, chances are a ported enclosure is what you're looking for. If you're into rock/alternative or enjoy many types of music, a sealed enclosure should serve you well.
What about bandpass?
Bandpass enclosures are not really recommended for any of the subwoofers we sell. They are very difficult to build, they only play a small frequency range well, and they can shorten the life of your subwoofer.
Will these speakers fit in my car?
We do not have access to information regarding speaker fitment, there are many online resources that can help.
Will this head unit fit in my car?
Probably. Most of the head units we sell are DIN mount which is the industry standard. You will likely need a dash kit and a wiring harness if you want to make the install as easy as possible. These items should be available at most larger car audio retailers and websites. An ISO mount head unit can be a bit more challenging.
