BRIEF HISTORY & EXPERIENCE
Thanks for stopping in and viewing ABOUT ME, Robert W. Gilmore, dba highplains1 GILMORE ENTERPRISES. I’m a “retired” airfield lighting designer, currently living in the HIGH PLAINS of North Central Kansas, near the geographical center of the lower United States. I have been selling on eBay for over 7 years. Prior to that while living in Texas, 20 years ago we began buying antique and primitive items from farms in Kansas and hauling them to Texas to our booths in an Antique Mall and other sources where I sold wagons, wood and steel wheels and a number of other horse drawn farm implements. I bought from several other states too, never passing an opportunity on any trip to search for “deals”. This worked well when we lived in Texas, but after moving to Kansas, I realized I couldn’t sell old primitive farm equipment to people in the same area where I bought it. I still haul a load to Texas a couple of times a year, but my primary interest now is buying at auctions and from individuals and selling on eBay (to keep my computer busy and pay for some of those field trips and my addiction to auctions). I go to farm and estate auctions in a five state area buying inventory to sell on eBay and other sources.
