Okay, I don't know how I ended up deleted my previous page, but in a nutshell, my dream is to establish a rescue for canine lost souls. We work hard to always value even the smallest souls, and know that God placed each creature on earth for a reason. We try to minimize our earth footprint, give to others wherever we can, and take in any and all lost puppies that may need us.....
Well, husband and I have bought the 8 acres, built the house, and we now have six wonderful canines, Abby, Katy and Izzy (Great Danes), Slinky and Spyder and Mazy (all rescues). The dream has begun! We finally are on our way to saving for the barn, which is the next phase in our two, three year plan. Phase one three year is done, phase two three year is mid way. We still have the Harley, still have a great marriage, coming in now on 19 years. I'm fortunate my guy supports my dream of the rescue...he already has plans for the kennels and barn.
Since I entered this, guess what? Penny has found her way to our home in the form of a sweet little girl who absolutely has the heart of an angel. She was on a very busy road a few miles from where we live, and on my way to work, as she stood on the side of the road in a very confused manner, and by the way, a red neck pick up truck drive narrowly missed her sweet little body, our eyes met and as I swivled to look at her, she moved to follow my gaze. I slowed down as quickly as I could, and as I glanced back in my rear view, this sweet little girl was running as fast as her sweet little legs could carry her, basset hound ears and legs pumping as fast as possible. I stopped, put on my flashers, and went to the back of my truck, where she literally flung herself into me when she finally got to me. No way on God's green earth could I drive away and leave her out there. She's a sweetheart, and even the vet mentioned what a beautiful temperment she has. SO, we've ordered the pet tags for Mazy and Penny, and now bring our number of canine souls to SEVEN. Good thing we have lots of room!!!! :)
Mazy is our most recent rescue, a little cocker girl who someone abandoned. Such a sweet girl - I'll load a pick someday soon. I've included pics of Abby, Katy and Izzy for now, our three wonderful girls whom we love dearly. Izzy and Katy are sissies, Abby is their auntie. Great breeder, sissies from an accidental litter, and the only two girls - how could we choose???? Anyway, thanks to everyone who purchases from my auctions - every penny goes into a coffee can and is used toward rescue expenses in one form or another, vet bills, donations, the like. Thank You!
