Hi everyone, Hobzee here. This is no overseas sweat shop selling 4wd stuff just to make a buck. This is me sweating, doing what I love best, dealing with four wheelin nutters like myself.

My old man really did drive me home from hospital as a new born baby in an International 80 Scout - no that's not 1980 (wish it was). We are talking early 60's and since then I have had a passion for off roading. I grew up on a farm driving bull dozers, tractors and trucks before I was allowed to drive the old man's 4wds.  

I have competed in 5 Outback Challenges and been dealing with competition nutters and gurus one on one for the past 10 years. If you want straight advice on what works best or be referred to a local Guru for honest reliable service hit me with it.

I was a member of Victorian Nissan Patrol 4WD Club when it was just 20 members strong, have been president of Gold Coast 4wd Club and Yarraman 4x4 Club, Treasurer of Qld Assoc 4WD Clubs, Driver Trainer and president of CCDA (Cross Country Drivers Assoc). I got the bug for off road eventing at Junction View frollics (Qld - late 80's) and ran several events in Qld before returning to Melb some 10 years ago. I creted the Yarraman Midnight Pursuit, which became the Ramsey Pursuit, the The Simex Pursuit and now the Piranha Pursuit. Another love child of mine is Navrun and together with Rudi Paoletti from Adventurer Maps we now host 4 Navruns, 2 Nav Nites, 1 Cliffhanger, 1 Amazing Race and the Piranha Pursuit each year. (refer www.navrun.com.au) Busy huh! Well this ebay store and web site (www.the4wdshop.com.au) and Navrun are just hobby jobs 2 and 3. By day I climb into a suit and manage a Law firm and Debt Collecting business in the city. Now that's busy! As I say, if you want something done - ask a busy person...

Many of you might have heard of me referred to as Mr Pro Comp. Yes I started Pro Comp (Australia) off as a one man band in a small office and shared a factory with a shop fitting mob. Pro Comp 4x4 quickly grew to become one of the countries greatest 4wd stores and importer/distributor of the very popular premium Pro Comp Tyre. This was a demanding role and didn't leave much time for everything else so in mid '05 I handed the reigns over to the current Pro Comp management team and have moved on. It sure is a good feeling when I see Pro Comps out there.

Times, they are a changin. The internet has become a way of life and I believe it has become the future of retail trade. The only way I can be competetive yet still make a dollar is to not have rent and wages overheads. Most of my stock is sitting with my suppliers and in many cases they direct ship to you. If that's how I can be so cheap then do you have a problem with that ... Hell no! It's time to collabrate with the supply chain and streamline processes.

My mission is to offer you the greatest choice of quality 4wd goods at competetive prices and offer you the best advice with due regard for your applications.
