After a less-than glorious military career (in an obscure Indian cavalry regiment) came to an end, when Captain Johnny was "found out", another occupation was needed.

In order to fund his fondness for gin, and a soft spot for The Turf, Hogspear began leaning on his aristocratic contacts for the opportunity to buy their surplus attic contents.

He now spends his time roving the British Isles and pulling out sorts of treasures out of many of the country's best houses - all Hogspear's ebay kit is sourced privately, totally genuine and fresh to the market.  Occasionally, some ladies' items are offered, mostly belonging to the Captain's elderly mother, the Dowager Lady Hogspear.

Politically incorrect and computer illiterate, Captain Johnny is assisted in all things by his charming nieces.

Hogspear is located at Muston's Yard, Shaftesbury, Dorset, SP7 8AD
