Homespun Ireland is a collection of art dolls, art quilts, and vintage collage by me, Jessamyn Sommers. I draw my inspiration from Irish history and folklore, as it was carried throughout the world by the Irish diaspora of the 19th and 20th centuries. I am particularly fascinated by Irish country life from famine times through to the present day, and the cultural traditions of Ireland.

All of my items are handmade in my studio in Blarney, Co. Cork, Ireland. I try to incorporate as many local materials in my work as possible, including genuine vintage Irish ephemera, reclaimed fabrics, and 100% Irish wool. My art dolls have hand sculpted and painted faces, and are original one-of-a-kind creations. My collage work is from original sources, not commercial papers, and my decoupage items can be commissioned to include images which reflect individual family heritage, creating heirloom keepsakes.

All items are shipped priority delivery from Ireland, and as such, delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. Please enquire if you require guaranteed delivery, as couriered service can be arranged. I cannot take responsibility for lost or damaged parcels, and recommend postal insurance.
