Hoochcats & Their People

Hello, My name is Lynn and I'm hoochcats with the help of my furry friends and their other person - my husband.  I got into the book business through an estate where I was asked what I wanted and I said, "All the books that no one else wants."  Wow! We ended up with huge crates of books and I didn't want all of them...hence, eBay.

Meanwhile, after a successful and very educational month my husband got transferred to another state and after 10 years here in this part of Montana we are moving.  The books are coming as are the critters so I will closing down for however long it takes to get there and get going again.  The good news is that I will have an office and hopefully a little less confusion.  I sit here with 2 dogs at my feet, one dog on the bed and various cats hither and yon....all rescued (the animals, that is) and boxes and boxes of books.  I guess some of the books have been rescued, too.

Anyhow, after we get settled in I'll see you again.

Oh, yes.  Our likes and dislikes.  We both love books, but just want the books we want.  It truly got out of hand and it is to the point where we need to start using the books for furniture because we are out of wall space (I don't have room to hang pictures of the grandchildren).

We like cats and dogs.  Our cats are all rescued & fixed feral cats.  The dogs were also unwanted by others, or else circumstances forced them to find another home.

We both do genealogy, both dislike television and don't need noise.  When we do my husband leans toward Neil Diamond and I prefer country, ie. Toby Keith, although the 70's music of The Mama's & Papa's and Tony Orlando & Dawn do slip in once in a while. 

Other than that we like to think we are just average folks.
