Winner 2006 Wisconsin Gourd Society Show
|
Having spent a lifetime with horses and growing up in a family of talented artists it is only right that the two should blend.I not only enjoy my art but love even more to share it. I have been fortunate to have my work recognized and published across the country. I have been written up in the Equine Chronicle had my work grace many magazine covers, done promotional work for rodeos and shows and in 2004 my work graced the cover of the Appaloosa World Show premium book and was used for the back drop on the world show advertising. My work hangs in homes and galleries world wide and I have many people who have collected multiple pieces. I believe in quality , honesty and integrity. All work is all done on high quality, heavy weight , acid free art stock with fine quality mediums.....My prints have all been comercially printed on the finest stock, with great attention to detail. When you purchase one of my pieces you will be purchasing a quality piece that will last a lifetime.....You will never recieve a computer print or art drawn on printer paper.......
I have recently started doing work on gourds, which have been grown here on the farm, blending my love of horses, art and gardening. My horse gourds have been well accepted both on Ebay and in Galleries and are selling as quickly as I finish them, being collected across the country.
One of my large Appaloosa gourds placed first at the Wisconsin Gourd Society Show, in April 2006 and another carved Appaloosa piece placed 3rd at the same show. Some are very colorful and some are strictly done by burning(pyrography) with a little added color. Most have Appaloosas , which are very colorful. It is very difficult to get good photos due to the curve of the gourds and light glare. Sometimes the images look distorted in the photos, due to curve of the gourd, but are very visual in person...Please feel free to visit the link to our website and see my award winning works and the wonderful horses that have inspired these pieces.......

My husband and I have a 250 acre farm in SW Wisconsin where we raise Appaloosa horses for pleasure ,show and sale. We also raise Registered Angus cattle and put up and sell quality hay.Our days revolve around the horses and farm work. My spare time is spent drawing and doing comission work....I love hearing from you, let me know what you would like to see or want... as you are the ones I do my art for.......special equine breeds, pets...let me know |
