Hot Strings started by buying old guitars on E-Bay, refurbishing and reselling them. The business grew into selling new guitars and accessories online. Hot Strings now has a fully equipped guitar building, repair and restoration workshop, retail store and operates an acoustic guitar building school in Milford, Connecticut. Additionally, Hot Strings produces a variety of guitar repair and building DVDs, some of which are sold by Stewart-McDonald and Luthiers Mercantile International. Owner Jamie Boss is on camera showing how to build acoustic guitars and making many of the more complicated repairs to older guitars.
