Eclipse.......One Cool Dog

       I am a retired school teacher (which probably explains the stickers everyone gets with their order) who loses money on each eBay sale, but makes up for it in volume :-)

   HOW I GOT STARTED IN EBAY

   Having been a biker for about fifty years, I was traveling along the parkway, when a wheel came off a stolen car, rolled over the divider, and used me for a bowling pin. My wife was on the back and only got some scrapes, while I learned that bones and asphalt do not mix. Actually asphalt mixes up the bones pretty well:-) My totally chromed bike was totally destroyed. It was dark out and all I could remember was seeing the sparks etc., as the chrome met the road. A sad sight for a biker! I managed to salvage some pieces of the bike and sold them on eBay. I found the eBay community to be filled with great people and just "got into it" from there. If I break even at the end of the year I'm lucky. I never actually figure it out because I have a feeling I would be in the "red." It's just a fun thing to do, and I enjoy it.

MY LIFE AFTER TEACHING?

I live in the gym, and play a lot of tennis. In the summer we like to go out on a Carolina Skiff that we use for having lunch in:-) Being a Vegan I don't fish or anything, so my time in the boat is spent reading.

My wife and I have been Disney Freaks since the early seventies, so when we are not at home, we are at the House of The Mouse!!

My wife and I have been Hospice volunteers for about fifteen years. (even my 92 year old mother does office work for them). I visit patients with my therapy dog Eclipse. She goes everywhere with me. I'm sure you have heard of separation anxiety?? When I go somewhere without her, I bite my feet:-) Eclipse is a hundred pound rescue golden, and never barks, etc. Very gentle.
