To pamper you we offer our original heirloom-quality Collector Series boxwood and ebony Staunton pattern chess sets, heavily weighted and felted, crafted to replicate the exquisite design and proportions of the original Staunton pattern chess set, first made by John Jaques and Son of London in 1849. The House of Staunton is currently the sole U.S. distributor for Jaques of London. From that first deluxe set, The House of Staunton has expanded to cover the entire range of new sets. From the top end where we offer the ultra-exclusive Ivory Collector (made from 20,000 year old Mammoth Ivory) to our new Plastic Collector (the finest plastic chessmen EVER produced) we are dedicated to bringing the highest quality products to you at the best prices possible. House of Staunton Chessboards

The House of Staunton also offers the finest selection of Chessboards available anywhere. From our fine veneer standard boards to our hand-made signature boards, these boards will fit any requirements. Some of the woods we have available are: holly, maple, walnut, padouk, cocobolo, bacote, amboina wood, teak, and rosewood. Our boards come with square sizes running from 1 7/8" to 3 1/2".
