It's November and getting close to Thanksgiving and Christmas! My busy time of the year is upon me. Time to start making all those personal presents for family and friends. This year it is going to be pillows and pincushion with family photos part of the theme.
I had a 2-way by pass on August 24, came home, then ended up in the hospital for another 5 days with blood clots in my right lung. I'm home now and recovering.
PLEASE STEP INTO MY CREATIVE STUDIO AT HUMMINGBIRD SPRINGS: Take a look around and you'll find antiques, shabby, vintage, chic, cottage crafts, and some pink items from my neighbor.
ABOUT ME: I have 30+ years experience as a graphic artist, but am retired now. I collect Pink Miss Amercia depression glass, teapots, pincushions, and cast iron cookware. I like to garden, both flowers and vegetables, along with my crafts, sew, knit, crochet, and I love to cook too. My, my, the hours in the day just fly by for me and I'm sure for you too.
I've been crafting since I was 6, when my oldest sister taught me to sew and I've loved it ever since. It runs through our family. My Mom taught me knitting and how to crochet when I was 9. I love going to fabric shops and spending hours looking at everything. Do you know what I mean?
We have 3 grown children and 10 grandangels, and they are all very dear to our heart. We try to spend as much time with them as possible, but with our busy schedule and theirs, it does not alway happen that way. Our oldest grandchild is in her 3rd year of college. She is becoming a Pediatrician, so she has quite a few more years to go. Our youngest grandchild is in the 4th grade.
My darling husband and I live in the Appalachian Foothills of Ohio and love the hills, woods, creeks and nature that is a part of it. My husband is totally blind in one eye and has limited vision in the other, so he has to be careful of what he does and it limits where he can go, but we still find much enjoyment when I take him exploring.
We bought our 1875 victorian home about seven years ago, and it's a work in progress restoring it. I told my husband it's perfect, just needs some lipstick and rouge. He told me its more like a heart transplant, and brain surgery.
We are both from Ohio, but we lived in Phoenix, AZ for 23 years. We decided it was time to sell the house in Phoenix and move back to Ohio to be closer to family. We are both glad we did because their is nothing to compare to the love of family.
We do not smoke, and do not allow smoking in our home due to allergies, so all my items come from a SMOKE-FREE environment at Hummingbird Springs.
BUSINESS: Please don't bid if you don't intend on paying - all non-paying bidders are reported to eBay. Payments are due within 3 days of auction end by PayPal, the only payment eBay accepts.
MY HOURS: Hummingbird Springs is closed Saturday and Sunday, therefore I ship only Monday through Friday.
Hugs, blessings, and a great big thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to create handmade items for you and for stopping by and shopping at Hummingbird Springs for over 8 years. I appreciate your business always.
